The passage of Act 71 of 2004, PA's slots law, put citizens on the defensive. It pitted neighbor against neighbor as they tried to keep casinos out of their communities. Now, SB 711 has spread the fleecino doors wide open with table games. Instead of at least pretending that they wanted to improve Act 71 with reforms, a reform bill was used as the vehicle for this current egregious act against the citizens. CasinoFreePA's position is still the same. We will continue to oppose casinos of ANY SIZE and in ANY PLACE in PA but we have not and still do not endorse dumping casinos from one site to another. Our main focus will be on state level measures. We will also oppose any gambling related legislation which is not in the best interest of PA's citizens and will also oppose any legislation which benefits the gambling interests.
